Glock 19 is a reduced-size Glock 17. It has shorter barrel (by about half an inch) and pistol grip compared to the Glock 17. Since it is a smaller gun, it is more popular for concealed-carry uses.
Glock 17 magazines can be used in Glock 19 but Glock 19 magazines cannot be used in Glock 17.
